Information about signing up for this year's Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl team will be coming soon. Participation is open to all 3 grades, with most meetings held during lunch. (There will be some afterschool sessions later in the fall.)
The Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl is a state-wide competition set up like a quiz bowl. During competitions, students answer trivia-type questions taken from the texts of the 20 titles that have been nominated for that year's Georgia Book Award.
If you're interested in participating, check out the list of titles for this year's reading bowl. Copies of all titles are available in the media center.
